To help with acne you can use a mixture of aloe vera gel and few drops of tea tree oil and apply to the affected area. Aloe contains gibberellins and polysaccharides that thwart the bacteria known to cause acne. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory to help soothe aggravated skin, heal scars and stimulate new skin growth. Tea tree is full of powerful antibacterial and antimicrobial compounds which zap the zits. Remember to always dilute tea tree as it is very potent.
To nourish and condition dry skin mix lemon juice with sugar and olive oil and apply on all dry areas. Rinse off well. Lemon contains natural alpha-hydroxy fruit acids which help eliminate dead skin cells. Sugar is a gentle exfoliator that cleans pores and increases cell turnover. Olive oil is rich in vitamin E so nourishes the skin.
Use a mixture of baking soda and water to clean stained teeth. Use your toothbrush to brush this paste onto your teeth. Repeat two or three times in a week. Baking soda is amazing in getting rid of stains however it is not recommended to use daily as it can be abrasive on tooth enamel.
Tame frizz prone hair by mixing half a mashed avocado with olive oil and massaging into damp hair. Leave this on for about 20 minutes then thoroughly rinse off with a light conditioner.
Energise your complexion with a berry scrub. Mash strawberries and add some honey to this. Massage this onto your face in circular motions for about 3 minutes then rinse off with warm water. The natural fruit enzymes in strawberries exfoliate the skin while the honey hydrates dry patches and the combination of the honey and strawberry produce a mild antiseptic that helps rid of breakouts.
